A Friendship Ties
We've been far apart
miles away
reaching for our dreams
we hold each day

We've grown and change
walking our separate way
suddenly realise
forgetting where we used to play

We live a different life
singing a different song
walk a different path
far from where we belong

Yet we still holding on
treasuring this friendship
and its gift
knowing in it we hold each other strong

This gap
and our differences
may be there forever
but its ties
is what keeping us together

Throughout life
we move on our own way
yet believing
that you and I
our friendship
will stay.
