Little child,
perhaps today is a milestone

Look around you

with your simple philosophy-
watch the birds fly across
vermilion streaks at twilight,
or feel the warm of molten gold
peeps among those clouds;
-uncurl your petals
for new drops of discovery.

Yet beware, little child
keep your stride with gaiety
and you’ll never miss
the beauty of your
early journey.
