jasmine gypsy girl

my head lies snug
in my hand
and the right fingers
have fallen numb

but i'd love
a little morning love

songbirds sing melodies
echoeing the pastel colors
of the new day-
orange creamsicle blue

but i'd love
a little morning love
with you

jasmine gypsy girl

jasmine gypsy girl
yer mother's babey girl

my only true music
in this poetic world
