Silent Muse
O silent Muse
Where can Thou be?
So silently disappeared?
Aye me!
but a word is all i ask
Or can i no longer hear?
The words so endlessly spoken
Painfully given
Stretched mile of a song
Thou hast refined all my wrongs
This verse i write in thanks indeed
Your grace has helped me
much in need
But why doth Thou show Thy face
And then not a word; my Grace?
I am but Thy most humble servant
So please you, O silent Muse
A simple word in good use
