His dear ones disowned him.
left out there, alone to rot.

he watched him grow up, laugh & run;
He toiled and struggled to give him a place
in this world of unending competition and race.
He witnessed the day when his son got married,
the household overjoyed with fun and frolic.

in happy & sad moments, goodness and dismay.
He dreamt about his future that he worked for and yearned,
but look, what life taught him and see what he learnt.
The child for whom he struggled day in and out
had shut him out of his very own house.
The son’s heart did not soften
When he looked into the wet eyes of his father in a piteous condition
A completely shattered man as he was,
he had nothing to live for, no dear cause.
Grief and misery had overcome him.
Pain and suffering showered liberally upon him.
Diseased and wrinkled, he lay in a corner,
Praying every moment for his end to come closer.
And then came the gleam of death, disguised as an angel
Which with its cold touch freed him from the shackles of this world.
