Sandy Nights-Andrew
I can't help but glance at the pictures sitting on my window seat, the ones imprinted in my head. I can't help but recall that feeling of finger prints on my back, the ones that were rubbed into my skin. No, it's not fair that you got to go home, out of my reach, leaving me on this sandy beach, to be the one left longing. Night's velvet blanket kept us warm and stupid in eachother's arms, while you colored my neck red. We both knew the truth, What the hell was going to happen when morning graced us with its prensence, but we did it any way, wanting to, overdue, Quietly bitten, Keeping us hidden, there's no sense to make of me there's no way I could ever take us back. I went to bed with sand in my hair and between my fingers, remains of our good night. Only the night knows our deep secrets, we buried them in the sand, Maybe some other time, if night is right, we can go dig them up.
