I. If one should gaze upon a face so fair Thy heart would skip a beat; slip jig or reel; Soft coloured rainbow forms high in the sky The willow trees would whistle near and far Of a bright jewel in the midnight sky. I'd sing all your praises in my own rhymes For no other Muse could be so divine With a voice that's silk-like, so soft and pire As mellow laughs from thy lips doth appear Ev'ry note burns a fire 'round my heart. Could my quill letter any finer verse? If by such chance another rhyme I nurse But this sonnet that i have wrote today Is for an angel born of blessed May (7th July 2000) II. If I looked upon her eyes, shining ture The dew of the day and the morning hue Would brighten the sky and would seem so bright My eyes would then gaze on no other sight For only her beauty and hers alone In a polished jewel result is shown, Birds shall sing with a joy so merry and proud. Her voice is so soft, silk-like and velvet Her beauty's within, from lyrical words Her laughs are a pleasure, lighthearted mirth Then I am under poet Sappho's curse Her heart is of an angel so divine And her soul to others would be so kind Etched in eternity, this Muse of mine. (26th July 2000)
